FAQ

Can I take herbal extracts if I’m pregnant or nursing?
Always consult with a trusted healthcare provider before using herbs during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Some herbs, such as those that have uterine stimulant properties, are not recommended.

Are alcohol-based tinctures safe for children?

Since tinctures are super potent, a little goes a long way. The amount of alcohol in a traditional 30-drop dosage is about the same as that found in a very ripe banana. However I understand how you can be hesitant to give this form of extract to your child; especially since dosage, age, weight, etc. are all factors. Our nutritive tonic ‘Body Bloom’ is an alcohol-free, ACV based extract that may be a better option for your child! It is more palatable, especially in a splash of juice, and also provides the benefits of organic apple cider vinegar. ‘Arbor Ease’ is also a great ACV based extract that can be given as needed when your child is sick.

How long will my herbal extract last?

Tinctures can last for 5+ years if stored properly in a cool, dark place, away from heat and sunlight. ACV extracts typically last up to 1 year when stored in the refrigerator.

Can I take herbal extracts with other medications?
Some herbs can interact with prescription medications, so it’s important to consult with a trusted healthcare provider before combining herbal extracts with other treatments.
